Meet The Team

John Monday

CEO

John Monday was born and raised in Orange County, California, and joined the Marine Corps at 18. He served four years, including a station in Okinawa, Japan, where he met his wife, who was also serving. They have been married for nearly twenty years and have two children, Cambria and Odin.

After earning an associate degree in Fire Science Management, John built a 15–year career as a firefighter paramedic at Camp Pendleton. During that time he met his business partner, Michael Flora, and the two went on to establish Stars and Stripes Real Estate. John later completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Management as well as a digital marketing bootcamp through UC Berkeley.

In 2022, he stepped away from the fire department to focus fully on the company and to create more opportunities to help homeowners throughout Southern California. Outside of work, John enjoys playing basketball, birdwatching with his wife, and participating in local community activities.

Mike Flora

COO

Mike Flora was born and raised in Fresno, California, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at 19, serving four years. After completing his service, he pursued a career in emergency medical services, earning his EMT and Paramedic licenses. He went on to serve 16 years as a paramedic firefighter at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

During his time as a firefighter, Mike co-founded Stars and Stripes Real Estate with his business partner, John Monday. Their goal was to give Southern California homeowners a fast and stress-free way to sell their homes for cash. As the company grew, Mike eventually left the fire department to focus fully on the business and to spend more time with his family.

Mike has been married to his wife, Michele, for 12 years, and they have two children, Brody and Skyler. They currently live in Temecula, California. In his free time, Mike enjoys golfing, being with family, and supporting local youth sports programs.
